Our New Fast Trak Grant Program
What is it?
It's an opportunity for Tippecanoe County public school teachers to apply for a classroom grant and get half the funding from one source - PSFTC. That's right. We've partnered with www.DonorsChoose.org by developing a Challenge Program. We will provide half funding to the first approved submission per building that we serve - that's means one project from each LSC, TSC and WLCSC building will receive funds.
Our traditional grant program, Seeds for Excellence, is a year-long process. Applicants apply for funds in the fall for projects they want to conduct the following school year. Our new Fast Trak program provides the opportunity to get a grant fully funded anytime during the current school year for immediate use in the classroom.
PSF Fast Trak grants are for projects with budgets less than $500.
How does it work?
Teachers apply for a grant using the www.DonorsChoose.org web site. There is not a special page or link that is required. Simply follow the step by step process and guidelines to submit an application (note this program is available to teachers, librarians, counselors, NOT principals and adminstrators). Grants must have a budget of $500 or less to be considered for our Challenge Program.
Every two weeks PSFTC will receive a report of all proposals submitted by any LSC, TSC or WLCSC school. Each proposal will be indentified with the date/time of submission. Members of the PSFTC grant selection committee will review each application and notify our grant chairman which grants qualify to receive half funding.
The first approved application from each of the 33 buildings that we serve will receive half funding. We feel by providing this jump start, full funding is easily within reach. Donors across the country will be able to search for your project and make a donation. So let family, alumni and retired colleagues know about your exciting plans so they can help make a difference in your classroom. We will share the news about our Challenge Program with our volunteers and donors too. Together we can make a difference for Tippecanoe County students.
